Artistic License - A Guild of Artisans

Founded in 1982, Artistic License is a group of professional artisans whose work encompasses architectural restoration, renovation, and newly-interpreted period design.

Working in the guild tradition of architectural crafts, the members of Artistic License are designers, contractors, and artists, who provide a range of services from building design to fine finishes and everything in between: architecture and interior design; carpentry, fine woodworking, and custom furniture; ornamental plaster; hand crafted tilework; decorative painting; color consulting; interior and exterior painting; stained and leaded glass; wallpaper; period textiles; and landscape design.

Artistic License is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Many of our members work nationally. Please see our website for more details.
