Classic Lighting Devices

Classic Lighting Devices specializes in the high-end quality reproduction of early lighting fixtures, styled from the 1600s-1800s. Our lighting fixtures compliment old houses, reproduction homes, historical sites and buildings, yet our models are the perfect match for contemporary homes.

The items are handcrafted in our workshop, from the turned wood centers to the hand dripped bee wax candle sleeve, using the old methods, hand tools and quality materials. We produce natural finishes on metal, and special color finishes on wood. Custom paint colors and new designs and ideas are always welcome.

Our mission is to be a reliable source to our valued customers by providing the finest product, quality service and delivery. Our employees are skilled artists who enjoy working in a small, intimate workshop. We have 17 years in reproduction lighting. Classic Lighting Devices is totally independent. We build your light to your specifications and statisfaction. All work is UL-listed and all parts and components are made with our own tools, jigs, patterns and forms.

Classic Lighting artists hand spin, crimp their own cups, funnels and disks. Wood centers are turned free hand, and bees wax candle sleeves are hand-dipped. Devotion to quality is evident throughout, but nowhere more so than in the finishing process. Many finishes are available both in wood and metal and all provide that special touch which makes your lighting device unique. We welcome restoration of lighting fixtures as well as the creation of contemporary lighting fixtures and non-electrical metalwork. We invite you to bring us your ideas and challenges.
