Patten Design manufactures custom hardware to order. Our 20+ years of experience assures you that when we make hardware for you, that it is done correctly and as quickly as possible without sacrificing superior quality. All items are manufactured in the U.S. in our shops and under self-imposed strict quality-control and design standards.

We make your hardware the way you want it. We have designs from existing molds or we will carve new patterns for you. All we need is a picture, sketch, or sample, and the size. The textures and finish possibilities are endless. In short, if you can describe it accurately or show us what you want, we can produce it.

Bronze is our standard metal, or we can provide any metal or combination of materials specified. We normally use the lost-wax investment casting process to produce fine detail. More rustic or natural pieces are sand cast. Hand forged bronze or wrought iron is also available. Machine work is done on CNC equipment to insure accuracy and the finishing is done by hand.

All periods and styles are available. We offer classic French, Italian, English, and Spanish, to variations in hand forged bronze or wrought iron, true Art Nouveau, Art Deco, or artifacts from the earth and sea -- or just pure whimsy.

Levers, knobs, back plates, rosettes, surface bolts, cremones, espagnoletes, hinges, door stops, window latches and stays, and more can be supplied as part of a complete hardware package. We will supply mortise or tube locks, latches, flush bolts, standard hinges, casement latches, etc. on a door-by-door basis along with the custom, project-specific items. We provide a single source for all your hardware needs.

You may have unique functions that require a special mechanism, dimension, or component, which we will manufacture. Our talent is exceeded only by our desire to make you a satisfied client.
