"From a tree house in the back yard to a mansion on a hill top." Southern Timberwrights can make your plans a reality. We are a small company specializing in traditional English joinery. We offer custom design work as well as a willingness to work with your plans or the architect of your choice.

Our staff of skilled craftsman hand selects and cuts each piece of the frame taking into consideration the natural grain to maximize the structural properties as well as the natural beauty of the wood. We offer great flexibility in your choice of timbers, from locally available woods, to more exotic species. Timbers may be green, kiln dried, or reclaimed. We offer frames rough sawn, or highly finished. What this means to you is that there are virtually an unlimited amount of options to fit your vision and budget.

For us, one of the most enjoyable aspects of the timberframers art is in erecting the frame. Once your frame is cut and fitted in our shop we will erect it on your site. We recommend SIP panels and can install them or not as you wish. We will work with your contractor to provide any necessary information and assistance to insure that construction of your home is everything you hope for.
