Texas Carved Stone is among the few sources that still create these handcrafted works of art. Each piece is inspired by timeless old world principles of proportion and beauty. We specialize in mantles, entries, garden ornaments, statuary, fountains or any type of finely crafted architectural ornamentation. Guided by our head designer and carver, Bob Ragan, our artisans carve in the traditional, classical European manner. Bob has spent 25 years studying design, perfecting his craft and translating that skill and expertise to a group of young apprentices. Thereby insuring the creation of a guild of carvers able to create works of exquisite beauty for the unique American lifestyle and sensibilities. Each commission is taken from design through drafting finally to carving, in natural limestone, with meticulous attention to detail. The finished product whether a simple entry surround or an exquisitely carved mantle reflects this care.
