Vermont Timber Frames has been crafting frame structures for over 25 years, and is one of the larger timber frame companies in the country. We pride ourselves, however, in being small enough to provide remarkable individual attention to each and every project.

Under the tutelage of Paul Martin, one of the industry's "gurus," the design staff at VTF has mastered the essence of "form follows function." Every member of timber in the frame is designed for the function it performs. When the frame is designed in this manner, it becomes the structural skeleton of the building, while maintaining a natural balance and elegance that even the untrained eye finds pleasing. It also allows flexibility with regard to space, light, and texture -- issues critical to successful design. This blend of structural integrity and artistic creative expression has an authenticity and uniqueness all its own.

Our projects vary in size and scope from small additions to large commercial structures. In the past, they have ranged from reproducing centuries-old frames exactly as they were originally built to constructing timber frames for fast food restaurants. Most of our work, however, is building homes.
