2017 ICAA Stanford White Awards

Stanford White Awards

Focusing on excellence in classical and new traditional design, the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art’s (ICAA) Stanford White Awards recognize achievement in architecture, interiors, landscape, urbanism, and building craftsmanship & artisanship throughout New York, New Jersey, and Fairfield County, Connecticut. The awards program is named for Stanford White (1853-1906), of the distinguished New York firm McKim, Mead & White, whose legacy of design excellence and creativity in architecture and the related arts continues to serve as a source of inspiration and delight.

The award winners are selected by a jury of professionals, which this year includes: Aimee Buccellato of Buccellato Design LLC; Timothy Corrigan of Timothy Corrigan Inc.; Gavin Duke of Page | Duke Landscape Architects; Joanna Lombard of the University of Miami School of Architecture; and Clinton Smith of Veranda Magazine.

The 2017 Stanford White Awards will honor projects in the following categories:

Residential Architecture

Commercial, Civic & Institutional Architecture

Interior Design & Decoration

Landscape Design

Historic Preservation

Craftsmanship & Artisanship

and a Student Project

Submissions are due Monday, October 2, 2017 and winners will be recognized at an awards presentation and reception to be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 6-9pm at New York's Metropolitan Club. Entries can be submitted online here.

To be considered, projects must conform to one of two eligibility requirements: 1) Projects must be geographically located within the region encompassing New York, New Jersey, and Fairfield County, Connecticut. Entrants are not required to be based within these borders, or 2) Entrants must be based within the region encompassing New York, New Jersey, and Fairfield County, Connecticut. Projects may be located in any geographic location or region. All projects, excepting those in the Student Project categories, must have been completed after January 1, 2007. All entrants must be members of the ICAA.
